Kariuki Gathitu
Kariuki Gathitu is a young techpreneur based in Nairobi, Kenya. He has a degree in Computer Science. His company Zege Technologies is one of the frontline startup companies that deal in easing mobile payments and innovation around Mobile Money. One of the innovative products that his company has built is called MPAYER. The software can be used as a core mobile payment solution and can also enable companies to integrate mobile payments to their existing systems, In addition, he has received recognition from the international media and community as one of Africa’s most promising leaders and was most recently featured in the first edition of Forbes Africa Magazine and News Africa Magazine as a rising young entrepreneur.He is a Desmond Tutu fellow.
Dave Ewald
Dave is Datacard Group’s Financial Instant Issuance Solution Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa. His experience in payments and chip technologies dates to 1996. He joined Datacard in 2010 when Datacard acquired Dynamic Card Solutions (DCS), the company behind the development of CardWizard. CardWizard is the world’s leading solution for Financial Instant Issuance, used by over 700 financial card issuers worldwide. Dave had been with DCS for 13 year and was part of the original team involved in the formation of the DCS International business division in 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Malek Mroueh
TSYS International, Dubai Senior Director, Regional Development Middle East & Africa, TSYS. Malek Mroueh holds an MEng in Microelectronics and has more than 20 years’ experience working in the cards and payments industry. Since joining Card Tech Limited, now TSYS, Malek has worked on solution design, global implementation, client relationship consulting and management. Today Malek heads up the TSYS business development team for Middle East & Africa region at TSYS and is a subject matter expert in prepaid and commercial programmes. Malek has been active in the MEA region since the early 1990s and has been based in Dubai since the beginning of 2008.
Samer Soliman
Network International, Dubai Samer Soliman holds responsibility for the organization’s issuing client base, and its expansion to increase the breadth of products and services. Soliman has extensive experience in multi-disciplinary businesses including consultancy, product development, business process reengineering, cards business, sales management and retail business. Prior to joining Network International, he was with Citibank in Egypt. Soliman holds a Bachelors Degree in Management from the Sinai High Institute in Egypt, and a Masters degree in Leading Innovations & Change from York St.Jones University in the UK.
Prem Suraj
Morpho Cards (Safran) 12 years plus experience Payment Industry, Joined Morpho cards in 2009 and is responsible for developing the payment business in MEA region. Strong domain knowledge in EFT space and card issuance vertical. Has successfully worked on various banking & governmental project for Epayment.Before joining Moprho was responsible for developing Ingenico’s business for Middle East.During this tenure has worked on various accuring & payment integration project’s in the region
